Learning outcomes: Basic understanding of endocrine system, its function and regulation
Content: The course gives an introduction to biochemistry of major endocrine systems. Hormones and endocrine system. Hormone production and secretion. Hormone effects. Protein and peptide hormones, steroid hormones, catechol amine hormones, thyroid hormones, eicosanoids.
Learning Material: Lehninger, 4. or 5. Edition, chapter 23 + lecture material
