| Learning outcomes: The course focuses on academic and professional spoken English and particularly on active learning and using professional English in seminar discussions and presentations. |
| Content: Discussion activities in pairs and groups, pronunciation practice, giving an oral presentation about a topic of professional interest as well as attending the presentations of other participants. |

| Prerequisites:
Students must already be able to discuss general topics freely in English (B1 level in the Common European Framework of Reference). If in doubt, they should first improve their oral skills on other courses e.g. through the Open University. |
