Learning outcomes: The course aims to help students develop their oral English skills and confidence in speaking English as well as improve fluency, pronunciation and active use of professional terminology, particularly the ability to provide pharmaceutical services and discuss pharmaceutical topics in English.
Content: Discussion activities in pairs and groups, pronunciation practice, role-play exercises.

Assessment: Passed / Fail. Details: Assessment is by active participation and the oral pharmacy service role play exercise where students' overall performance is assessed.
Prerequisites: Students must already be able to discuss general topics freely in English (B1 level in the Common European Framework of Reference). If in doubt, they should first improve their oral skills on other courses e.g. through the Open University.
