Abbreviation: ADTOXRI 
Learning outcomes: Students learns the topics of essential and complementary knowledge.
Content: Essential knowledge: Structure and style of a chemical risk assessment report. New toxicity test and methodologies and development of in vitro toxicity tests. Toxicological parameters derived from toxicity tests and their application in risk assessment. Combining toxicity data for conclusions and a coherent final report of a toxicological profile of a compound. Interpretation of toxicity testing data for recommendations to regulators. Bookkeeping of work and working hours. Complementary knowledge: Emerging approaches in toxicity testing and evaluation of their value for risk assessment. Independent thinking. Group working for concensus. Dealing with new emerging fields and knowledge. Application of toxicological knowledge globally.
Learning Material: Klaassen CD: Casarett and Doull´s Toxicology. The Basic Science of Poisons 7th edition. EU-guidelines for risk assessment and other materials distributed during the course.
