Advanced Topics in Epidemiology (4 op / 3 ov)
Abbreviation: ATEP 
Learning outcomes: To get familiar with some advanced methods used in epidemiological research and to apply the methods using own or model data.
Content: 12 seminars (3 seminars/semester) that cover different types of methods used in epidemiological research, eg. in controlling for confounding.
Learning Material: Articles and other material distributed during the course.
Degree / Programme: Master of Public Health (MPH), PhD Students.
Point in time: Autumn/Spring.
Teaching / Learning methods: Lectures 36 h, Independent Study 60 h. Details: Course consists of four individual parts ( 1 ECTS each, 4 ECTS altogether). Each part takes place during one semester. Parts may be completed separately. 1 ECTS includes participating 3 seminars and completing practical works given in seminars.

Prerequisites: Introduction to Epidemiology and Basic Biostatistics III or equivalent.
